Our first game drive started at 6:30am and we were finally lucky to see the Kilimanjaro for a short time. Unfortunately without the desired elephants in front of it, but you can’t have everything:
The enormous mountain still rises 4,800 metres above the surrounding plateau. To see this is incredibly impressive. Unfortunately, one hour later it was already covered by clouds again.
We once again found large herds of elephants, always with many small, very cute calves. One group was eating a complete tree in an abandoned camp.
The breakfast we took with us from camp was served on the hood of our Toyota LandCruiser 4x4 Jeep, lovely prepared by Eric:
Again and again we saw groups of elephants marching to the central swamp in the park.
