Note: there is already a new firmware version 1.8.1

Canon has once again released a new firmware ver­sion for the Canon EOS R5 and R6. There are no fea­ture enhance­ments includ­ed this time, only a few bugs have been fixed:

• Fix­es an issue that, in rare cas­es, can cause the cam­era to not func­tion prop­er­ly when shoot­ing small subjects.
• Fix­es minor problems.

I have already installed the new ver­sion on my EOS R5 and have not noticed any prob­lems yet.
