As I wrote in my last article, the in-body stabilizer does not work on my new Canon EOS R5 with the Rokinon / Samyang AF 14mm f/2.8* in the EF version with the Canon EF-R Mount Converter. Yesterday I wrote an EMail to Samyang and described the problem.
The following answer came as early as today:
Dear Gerd-Uwe Neukamp
Thank you for reaching out to Samyang.
We’re very sorry for your inconvenience with our lens. Unfortunately, the lens has a functional problem with the latest Canon R5 and R6 cameras which has recently been released after the launch of Samyang AF14/2.8 EF.
As you mentioned, we’re working on the development of new firmware to fix the current issue with the newest Canon camera version. We hope it will be informed to customers as soon as possible. Thanks for choosing Samyang lens.
Best regards,
Samyang
I am very pleased that Samyang reacts so quickly and hope for a forthcoming firmware update that will make the excellent lens on the R5 even better. If someone has the RF version of the lens: does it work with the in-body stabilization of the EOS R5?

I have the same problem with a sayang 14mm f2.8 rf mount lens!!!
If there is a firmware fix do i have to buy a docking station?
Yea, you will need it to update the firmware of the lens.
I have the same issue with my Samyang 14mm 2.8 RF native lens. I just posted a video on my youtube channel about it.

Thank you for your Information. I had contact with the Rokinon/ Samyang team and they replied that the problem with the new Canon R5 and R6 is known and they are working on it. So we have to wait for a firmware-update of the lenses.
