Canon has released the new firmware ver­sion 1.3.2 for the EOS R5 Mark II. The update focus­es pri­mar­i­ly on bug fix­es and improved stability.

Among the most impor­tant changes are reduced laten­cy in the Live View dis­play when using the EOS Mul­ti Remote app, as well as a fix for an issue with linked shoot­ing when the sender cam­era is con­nect­ed to an FTP serv­er at the same time.

Canon has also fixed an issue that could cause the cam­era to restart dur­ing shoot­ing when Dual Pix­el RAW was enabled. In addi­tion, over­all oper­a­tional sta­bil­i­ty has been improved.

Firmware Ver­sion 1.3.2 incor­po­rates the fol­low­ing enhance­ments and fixes:

  1. Improves a delay that may occur in the live view dis­play when shoot­ing with the EOS Mul­ti Remote app.
  2. Fix­es an issue that may cause the receiv­er cam­era to fail to cap­ture images dur­ing linked shoot­ing with EOS Mul­ti Remote when the sender cam­era is con­nect­ed to an FTP server.
  3. Fix­es an issue that may cause the cam­era to restart dur­ing shoot­ing when Dual Pix­el RAW is enabled.
  4. Improves oper­a­tional stability.

As usu­al, the firmware can be down­loaded direct­ly here from Canon and installed using a mem­o­ry card. After extract­ing the down­loaded file, the firmware file R5213200.FIR can be found in the down­load fold­er. Canon rec­om­mends read­ing the includ­ed firmware update instruc­tions before start­ing the installation.
