Our last day in Tromsø. Unfortunately, it was still rainy. Since we still had some time—we had to leave the apartment at 10:00 a.m.—we drove to the northern tip of the island of Tromsø. There we had another view of the northern bridge to the mainland. After that, we crossed it again, but it remained rainy, so we spent the rest of our time in a large shopping mall near the airport. The return flight to Frankfurt departed on time at 3:45 p.m.
Shortly after takeoff, northern Norway said goodbye once again with a beautiful sunset and a final view of the northern lights:
It was another wonderful trip with amazing northern lights, beautiful scenery, extraordinary culinary highlights, and a very nice, relaxing time in the beautiful holiday apartment with our friends. We are already looking forward to our next Nordic adventure together on Svalbard.
