November 7th, 2025

Despite the generous consumption of different types of wine, we all slept well and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. Harry and I then took a short walk to pick up our rental car.

When we got back to the car, we found a yellow strip on the windshield wiper with the heading “Kontrollsanksjon,” meaning a parking ticket. Although EasyPark had shown us the space as a valid parking zone and we had paid as required, we had apparently unknowingly parked in a small separate zone reserved for clients. We had obviously overlooked the sign in the dark. If we had parked three parking spaces further to the left, everything would have been fine.

cHowever, Tromsø Parkering did not accept our objection regarding the paid parking fee, which we sent by email after our trip, so we ended up having to pay a fine of €80 on top of the parking fee, which was very annoying 🤬. Next time, we’ll take a closer look around.

We then set off on a shorter tour—just along the fjord. The weather was mediocre, but we still found a few photo opportunities and flew the drones again.

In the evening, we had reserved a table at Fiskekompaniet again. We had already been there on New Year’s Eve 2025 and had enjoyed it very much. To round off our trip nicely, we enjoyed the six-course menu, again with accompanying wines. The restaurant is very cozy, decorated in an industrial style with lots of warm colors, yet Nordic and straightforward without any frills. Very nice.

The food was excellent again, and the service was very attentive. Then, pleasantly saturated, we strolled back to our nice apartment. It was our last evening in Tromsø (this time 😉). Tomorrow we will fly back home in the afternoon.
