Lake Victoria is part of the countries Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. It is the third largest lake (after the Caspian Sea and the Upper Lake) and the second largest freshwater lake in the world. It has a surface area of 68,800 km², which is roughly the size of Bavaria or Ireland. Its coastline has a length of 3450 km, of which 1750 km are in Tanzania, 1150 km in Uganda and 550 km in Kenya. We stayed for one night in the Speke Bay Lodge.
