We have been to Amboseli Nation­al Park, which is espe­cial­ly known for its large ele­phant pop­u­la­tion, twice before. This was our sec­ond stop this time. The park is close to Mt. Kil­i­man­jaro, with 5895m height Africa’s high­est moun­tain. How­ev­er, dur­ing our pre­vi­ous vis­its in July / August, the moun­tain was con­stant­ly hid­ing behind clouds. This time in win­ter we hoped for bet­ter vis­i­bil­i­ty to final­ly be able to pho­to­graph “ele­phants in front of Kil­i­man­jaro”. We were not disappointed…
