Pictures from Japan
Since our older daughter had been in Japan for a 3-month internship as part of her studies in 2014, we took the opportunity to visit her there. The country enchanted us. Therefore, her younger sister also took the chance and completed a foreign study term in Tsukuba near Tokyo in the winter semester of 2022 / 2023, where we also visited her.
Japan 2014 / 2015
Japan! This was a destination we had always thought about. An opportunity arose when our older daughter went there for a 3-month internship with a company in Osaka as part of her studies in mechanical engineering. We decided to “pick her up” there afterwards and travel together through Japan for 2 weeks. We met her in Osaka and then visited Kyōto, Hiroshima, Tokyo and the Fuji-san. Japan 2023
In February 2023, we visited our younger daughter who had just completed her first semester abroad at the University of Tsukuba. Together we traveled with her as a linguistically competent guide for 2 1/2 weeks through Japan with the cities of Tokyo, Hiroshima and Kyōto. At the end we drove with a rental car to the Fuji-San and explored the surroundings in beautiful weather. Since our daughter already had a good knowledge of the Japanese language and was very familiar with the country due to her stay there for several months, we didn’t feel so alien this time and experienced Japan much more intensively than before.
